Maintenance is such sweet sorrow.

Wow. I spent the whole morning and some of my afternoon today repairing sections of my display. I was finally able to install the Merry Christmas Sign. As usual there were some lights giving me trouble. It would have been a routine thing unfortunately it was so cold outside that my hands were in pain. I was getting frostbite. People don't realize how much effort is involved in putting and keeping these darn lights running.
About a week ago I had a massive short circuit that destroyed about 4 thousand dollars worth of my equipment. It has taken a lot to just get the show running again. There goes my big plant to start moving to the LED world. I guess I could have been worse. At least the Christmas Light Show is still working.

Terrible news.

I just find out the thevweid headaches I had recently are caused by my high blood pressure. They high blood pressure seems to be worsening a brain anurysim. I was in chock when they told me. It is small, however, like people say "is like being a little pregnant". Funny
The fact that is small, still not very reassuring. It feels like walking around with a smal bomb in the back of my brain. The pain and weird symptoms come and go depending on my ability to control my blood pressure. What a pain in the ...

I don't know if I'll be getting an operation or how soon. Darn. What does this mean for my Christmas light show? Would I be able to set it all up? Would I even be here at all next Christmas?

Wow, It has been a long time.

Wow, It has been a long time.

Many thing have happened this year. So, bear with me while I try to recall the events.
Sometime in November, while I was building the infrastructure of the show, my dog got fleas. My wife told me to fumigate the lawn. I did. Big mistake. You, I suffer from myasthenia gravis.
I take a drug that for some reason it has a similar molecular structure as many pesticides. The moment I exposed myself to the pesticide it acted like I was getting an overdose of my medication. My symptoms were from good to terrible in a few hours. For the next few weeks I was a mess. I finally realized what was going on and I avoided coming outside to build up the show. I got better fast but the construction of the show got a bit behind. I finished construction was past the deadline. Even now, I am not feeling very well. The cold usually helps but not this year. I have fleas.

I can't wait for Halloween.

I am sick and tired of waiting for Halloween. Hey, don't get me wrong. I am not too taken with Halloween. Let me explain. I need to start the construction of my annual Christmas light show, however, I can't do that until after Halloween has passed. I just put some minor lights, just to give an excuse to begin building the electrical infrastructure of my Christmas light show.

Another thing that is really annoying this year is the fact that this year, at exactly 7:00 PM AMC is going to show the premiere of "The Walking Dead" series. I love giving candy to the kids but this year I need to slip myself in two. My wife seems to think that we are going to have a low turn out. I doubt that... I can see a million kids banging at my door tomorrow night. Thank God for TIVOs.
I have been reading "The Walking Dead" in comic book form. Wow, even if you don't like Zombies, "The Waling Dead" is more about the human drama and the deterioration of the social structure in general. The Zombies are just an added bonus. I saw a promo trailer from AMC and it is very faithful to its comic book counterpart.

But I am supposed to be talking about Christmas, right?
